Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured and rigorous legal and policy research on emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, digital governance, data protection, cybersecurity, platform regulation, fintech, and other evolving areas of technology regulation.
  • Contribute substantively to NIDAN’s flagship publication , the Technology & Regulatory Innovation (TRIF) Project, a multidisciplinary research initiative exploring the future of technology governance and regulatory innovation in India and globally.
  • Analyse legislative developments, judicial decisions, policy papers, regulatory frameworks, and international best practices to develop evidence-based insights on contemporary technology policy.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and refining research papers, policy briefs, and scholarly publications in accordance with the Centre’s publication standards.

Typically, research interns at think tanks like NIDAN Centre for Legal and Policy Research are involved in in-depth research, analysis, and drafting of policy papers and research reports. This experience provides valuable insights into the intersection of law, policy, and technology.

Eligibility

  • Students enrolled in 5 year LLB course (IInd Year onwards), 3-year LL.B., or LL.M.

This role is best suited for law students in their 2nd year onwards, pursuing a career in legal research, policy, or technology law.
