Role & Responsibilities
- Interns will be working on pilot projects/micro-studies focusing on the ongoing activities of the Ministry.
- They will be provided with qualitative exposure to the Ministry’s mandate and specific programmes and policy analysis.
- Interns will be expected to be proactive in raising issues of women and children on various platforms in the future.
Typically, interns at government ministries are involved in research, data analysis, and report writing. They may also be required to attend meetings, seminars, and workshops, and to interact with various stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and community leaders.
Eligibility
- Applications are invited from women students/scholars/social activists/teachers from Non-Tier I cities and rural parts of India.
- Aspiring candidates for the Internship Programme need to be enrolled in/associated with any university/ academic/ non-academic institution.
- Candidates from the age group 21-40 years may send their applications.
This role is best suited for law students, social work students, or those pursuing a career in women’s empowerment and child development.
Stipend / Compensation
Selected interns would be granted a lump sum stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month. Reimbursement of travel costs (by deluxe / AC bus / 3 Tier AC train) of the journey for joining the programme in the Ministry and return at the end of the programme.
Duration & Location
The internship programme will be offered in four distinct terms throughout the financial year: May-June, August-September, November-December, and February- March, each with a duration of two months. The location of the internship is Delhi.
