About National Legal Services Authority

NALSA has been constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 to provide free Legal Services to the weaker sections of the Society and to organise Lok Adalats for amicable settlement of disputes. The legal services sector in India has grown significantly, with many organisations working towards providing access to justice. Delhi, being the capital, has a high concentration of legal services authorities, including NALSA.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Interns will be working in various specialised areas of legal services
  • Hands-on experience in the workings of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA)
  • Interns are required to follow the NALSA office timings from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM unless otherwise permitted by the concerned officer of NALSA

Interns at NALSA are commonly involved in research, drafting, and case analysis. The experience gained from this internship can be valuable for those pursuing a career in legal services or public interest law.

Eligibility

  • Students who are pursuing a Three-Year LL.B Course or Five-Year Integrated Law Course from any recognised University/College/Institution
  • Preference will be given to students in the 2nd or 3rd year of the Three-Year LL.B Course and the 4th or 5th year of the Five-Year Integrated Law Course

This role is best suited for law students in their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th year pursuing a career in dispute resolution or legal services.

Stipend / Compensation

No stipend or remuneration shall be paid to the Interns for the Internship.

Duration & Location

The internship is for one month, and interns are required to work from the NALSA office in Delhi. The internship shall start from the 1st day of the month.
