About MeitY
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is responsible for formulation, implementation and review of national policies in the field of Information Technology, Electronics and Internet. Its mission is to promote e-Governance for empowering citizens, promoting the inclusive and sustainable growth of the Electronics, IT and ITeS industries. The Ministry is headquartered in New Delhi and has a significant presence in the Indian IT sector.
Role & Responsibilities
- Interns will work under the guidance of a qualified and experienced Supervisor/Mentor.
- Active participation in the learning process through experimentation and putting into practice the knowledge acquired in the classroom.
Interns at MeitY are commonly involved in policy research, analysis, and implementation. Exposure to the Ministry’s various schemes and programmes is particularly valuable for those pursuing a career in public policy or administration.
Eligibility
- Indian students from recognised universities in India who have secured at least 60% marks in the last held degree or certificate examination and are pursuing LLB course.
This role is best suited for law students in their 3rd/4th/5th year pursuing a career in public policy or administration.
Stipend / Compensation
A token stipend of Rs.10,000/- per month would be paid to an Intern, subject to satisfactory performance, duly certified by his Supervisor/Mentor.
Duration & Location
The minimum duration of internship shall be two months, extendable up to three months, depending on the performance of the candidate, requirements of the Ministry, and the time the intern is willing to spend with the Ministry. The internship will be offered at New Delhi.
