Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) is an attached office of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and is headed by the Director General of Foreign Trade. DGFT is responsible for formulation and implementation of the Foreign Trade Policy with the main objective of promoting exports of the country.

About the Job

The Office of the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Coimbatore, is inviting applications for the position of Young Professional on a contractual basis.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of the Foreign Trade Policy
  • Monitor and analyze foreign trade data
  • Provide support in the issuance of scrips/authorizations to exporters

Young professionals at DGFT are expected to work closely with the Director General and other officials to achieve the organization’s objectives. They will gain hands-on experience in foreign trade policy formulation and implementation.

Eligibility

  • Maximum age: 30 years
  • Educational Qualification: Master’s in Law (LL.M.) or LL.B.
  • Candidates must be in good health and capable of discharging official duties

This role is best suited for law graduates or postgraduates who are interested in foreign trade policy and international trade law.

Stipend / Compensation

₹56,000 per month (consolidated)
