About Sahaj Foundation

Sahaj Foundation is an incubation platform for early-stage social leaders working with communities in India. The intention of their work remains to transform everyone- their fellows, funders, trainers, and members- from within. The foundation aims to support social leaders in their beginning years, helping them reach a point where they can sustain their work independently.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Working full-time on the social initiative for the entire duration of the fellowship
  • Promoting a healthy value system, encouraging compassion, social and economic equality, justice, secularism, co-operation, etc.
  • Providing details on how to sustain the initiative at the time of application and a realistic plan to become self-sustaining at the end of the fellowship

Social leaders who are founders or co-founders of their social initiatives, with at least one year of full-time engagement, are eligible to apply. The fellowship aims to support leaders working with economically or socially disadvantaged sections of Indian society, residing in slums, rural, or tribal areas.

Stipend / Compensation

The selected fellows will receive a stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month for up to 2 years to support their journey while building their non-profit initiative toward long-term sustainability.

The fellowship is for a duration of 2 years, and the location is India. The fellows will be working full-time on their social initiatives, with the support of the Sahaj Foundation team.
