About Defence Innovation Organisation

Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO) is a not-for-profit Section 8 company established by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It is funded by defense public sector undertakings Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). Its main goal is to build an innovation ecosystem in the defense and aerospace sectors. The organisation plays a vital role in promoting research and development in the defense sector, and its work has a significant impact on the country’s security and economy.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Handling legal matters, including legal documentation, contract management, legal interpretation, arbitration, and related legal functions.

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing legal support to the organisation, and will work closely with other teams to ensure that all legal matters are handled efficiently. This role is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, and to contribute to the growth and development of the defense sector.

Eligibility

  • LL.B degree with 4 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field; or
  • LL.M degree with 2 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
  • Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas: working as a legal adviser, legal executive, or in a similar role for a reputed company, Government Department, or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), legal documentation, case filing and representation before courts of law, contract management, legal interpretation, arbitration.

This role is best suited for law graduates who have a strong passion for working in the defense sector, and who have a keen interest in legal matters related to innovation and technology.

Stipend / Compensation

A consolidated monthly consultancy fee ranging from ₹ 80,000/- to ₹ 1,20,000/- per month inclusive of all taxes, as approved by competent authority based on the recommendation of “Interview & Selection” Committee at the time of selection.
