Eligibility Criteria

1. Associate Professor (Law)

To be eligible for this senior academic position, the candidate must fulfill all of the following:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Ph.D. in Law or a relevant legal discipline
    • Master’s degree in Law with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 8 years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor
  • Research Credentials:
    • At least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals
    • Minimum research score of 75 (as per UGC regulations)

2. Assistant Professor (Law)

This entry-level teaching position is open to qualified candidates who meet the following:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) with at least 55% marks
  • UGC Eligibility:
    • Must have cleared NET/SLET/SET
    • OR hold a Ph.D. in Law in accordance with UGC regulations which exempts NET requirement

Note: Candidates with Ph.D. degrees from foreign universities with high academic standards as defined by UGC may also apply. UGC norms and subsequent amendments apply for determining eligibility and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

Selected faculty under the Law Faculty Recruitment India at NLUO will be expected to:

  • Deliver lectures at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels (B.A. LL.B., LL.M.)
