About NCLAT
National Company Law Appellate Tribunal is a quasi-judicial body in India that hears appeals against the orders of the National Company Law Tribunal. The NCLAT has its principal bench in New Delhi and has been constituted under the Companies Act, 2013.
Role & Responsibilities
- Handling of cases related to company law
- Providing support to the Registrar and other officials of the NCLAT
- Performing administrative tasks as required
Joint Registrars at NCLAT are commonly involved in case management, research, and providing support to the judicial members. Exposure to company law and appellate proceedings is particularly valuable for those pursuing a career in corporate law or litigation.
Eligibility
- Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Courts or Tribunals or statutory organisations or State/Higher Judicial Service
- Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or a post in level-12 in pay matrix of Seventh Central Pay Commission with five years regular service
- Degree in law from a recognized University; and experience in personnel and administrative matters
This role is best suited for law graduates with experience in company law, litigation, or judicial services.
Stipend / Compensation
Level 13 – (Rs. 1,23,100-2,15,900).
Duration & Location
The initial period of deputation shall be for one year, which may be extended further subject to satisfactory performance. The location of the job is Chennai.
