Required Experience
2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in General Corporate and M&A work.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will become part of our dynamic corporate legal team and will be expected to undertake the following responsibilities:
- Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements including Shareholders’ Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, Term Sheets, Employment Agreements, and other transactional documents.
- Conducting legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
- Advising clients on regulatory and compliance issues under the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws.
- Participating in the structuring and execution of complex corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and private equity deals.
- Managing all aspects of a transaction from initiation to closure, including negotiations, drafting, execution, and post-closing activities.
- Working closely with clients, regulators, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth transaction management.
- Supporting senior associates and partners on strategic transactions and cross-border matters.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for this role must meet the following qualifications:
- Possess a full-time LL.B. degree from a recognized law school or university in India.
- Have a minimum of 2 years and up to 3 years of work experience in a law firm or in-house legal team, primarily handling corporate transactions and M&A mandates.
- Demonstrate solid legal knowledge, particularly in corporate laws, transactional structuring, and regulatory advisory.
- Be proficient in legal drafting, negotiation, and client communications.
- Exhibit the ability to work independently and manage timelines across multiple transactions.
