Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

  • Minimum 4+ years post-qualification experience managing energy transactions, including:
    • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) in the energy and infrastructure space.
    • Project development, financing, and investment documentation.
  • Strong drafting skills with the ability to prepare, review, and finalise complex transaction documents.
  • Capability to actively participate in briefings and negotiations with clients, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Proactive communication skills to ensure all parties remain informed, deadlines are met, and commitments are honoured.
  • Growth-oriented mindset – adaptable, solution-driven, and eager to take on evolving challenges in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Associate will take a lead role in managing transactions from inception to completion, including:

  1. Drafting and Reviewing Transaction Documents
    • Prepare high-quality agreements, term sheets, and related legal documentation for M&A, project development, financing, and investment deals in the energy sector.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  2. Negotiations and Briefings
    • Participate actively in client briefings, investor discussions, and deal negotiations.
    • Provide strategic legal input to secure favourable outcomes for clients.
  3. Transaction Lifecycle Management
    • Oversee all stages of transactions – due diligence, structuring, documentation, execution, and closing.

    • Maintain transparent and regular communication with stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
