  • Location: SEBI offices in Mumbai only.
  • Tenure: Minimum 4 weeks, beginning on the 1st working day of the month.
  • Mode: Full-time, physical attendance required.

Who is Eligible?

To be considered for this prestigious internship, applicants must:

  1. Be enrolled in a law school recognized by the Bar Council of India and UGC.
  2. Be in the 4th or 5th year of a 5-year law program or in the 2nd or 3rd year of a 3-year law program.
  3. Have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
  4. Be below 28 years of age.
  5. Not have completed their final semester.

    • A cover letter on your law school’s letterhead, detailing your academic performance.

Interns are assigned to various divisions and may be involved in:

  • Writing a research article related to SEBI’s regulatory framework or global securities law developments. A published article increases the chances of receiving a stipend.

Responsibilities & Code of Conduct

  • Timings: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, full attendance is mandatory.
  • Leaves: Granted only for emergencies with valid proof.
  • Dress Code: Formal attire and professional conduct are required at all times.
  • Confidentiality: Interns must sign an undertaking and refrain from disclosing any non-public information about SEBI.

Stipend and Certification

  • Stipend: ₹10,000 (subject to recommendation and publication of an article).
  • Certificate: Granted upon successful and satisfactory completion of the internship.

Termination Clause

SEBI reserves the right to terminate the internship for non-compliance with guidelines. Such termination may also be communicated to the intern’s institution.
