About the Internship

Sahas Legal Services is inviting applications for its Compliance & Litigation Internship Program. This is a unique opportunity for law students to gain hands-on training in regulatory compliance and litigation while working closely with practicing professionals. Unlike short-term internships, this program is designed for long-term exposure (minimum 6 months), enabling interns to develop practical skills that will shape their careers.

This role is ideal for law students who are motivated, disciplined, and eager to gain insights into compliance frameworks, corporate law practice, and real-time litigation in Navi Mumbai and nearby jurisdictions.

  • Position: Legal Intern – Compliance & Litigation Team
  • Vacancies: 6
  • Duration: Minimum 6 months (long-term commitment preferred)
  • Location: Navi Mumbai

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Law students in the 3rd year or above of a 5-year integrated law course, OR in the 2nd year or above of a 3-year LL.B. program.
  • Strong research and drafting skills.
  • Punctuality, discipline, and commitment to learning.
  • Ability to work full-time during the internship (11:30 AM – 6:30 PM, 6 days a week with rotational week-offs).
  • Final-year students are encouraged to apply, as they may be considered for a trainee opportunity with a potential Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) after 6 months, subject to performance.

Key Responsibilities

Interns will gain practical exposure across compliance and litigation. Responsibilities include:

  • Regulatory Compliance & Research: Conducting research on statutory obligations, assisting in compliance-related filings, and staying updated with legal developments.
  • Litigation Support: Attending court proceedings, assisting lawyers during hearings, and preparing briefs.
  • Drafting Legal Documents: Drafting petitions, agreements, compliance reports, and other legal documents under supervision.
  • Client Interaction Assistance: Supporting senior lawyers in preparing notes, communicating with clients, and managing documentation.
  • Exposure to Corporate Law & Compliance Frameworks: Gaining understanding of corporate governance, statutory filings, and regulatory matters.
