Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 2 years of legal work experience in a law firm, government agency, or in-house legal department
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while handling administrative aspects of legal operations
- Strong problem-solving skills, including reviewing and organizing legal documents efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear coordination with cross-functional teams
Key Responsibilities
As a Legal Assistant at Google, you will:
- Manage, organize, and maintain legal information, documentation, and databases
- Draft, review, and manage legal documentation for various transactions and compliance needs
- Conduct due diligence on legal and corporate matters
- Provide legal risk advice to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on corporate governance, compliance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), reorganizations, and other transactional matters
- Conduct fact-finding investigations and respond to regulatory and third-party information requests
- Develop and implement performance metrics to assess and improve the efficiency of legal services and policies
