Key Responsibilities

As a Trainee Associate IP Litigation & Media Law, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in ongoing contentious IP matters, including trademark, copyright, and design litigation before various courts and tribunals.
• Supporting senior lawyers with legal strategy and advisory work related to media laws, entertainment laws, and related civil/commercial disputes.
• Drafting pleadings, legal notices, interim applications, rejoinders, client notes, and case summaries.
• Conducting in-depth legal research on case laws, statutes, and international conventions related to intellectual property and digital media law.
• Coordinating with clients, law firm partners, court clerks, and administrative teams to ensure smooth handling of litigation timelines.
• Monitoring IP filings and opposition processes (if required), under the guidance of the IP team.
• Attending court hearings, arbitration proceedings, or client meetings (as assigned by seniors).

This position provides a holistic view of litigation practice, especially for those interested in exploring the intersection of law, technology, and media.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the role of Trainee Associate IP Litigation & Media Law must possess:

• A law degree (3-year LLB or 5-year BA LLB/BBALLB) from a recognized law school in India.
• A demonstrable interest in intellectual property law, entertainment law, or media litigation.
• Prior internship experience in IP law firms or media law practices (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong legal drafting, research, and communication skills.
• The ability to analyze cases and work under supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to litigation work and the ability to manage deadlines and follow instructions.
• Familiarity with procedural aspects of courts, especially in Delhi, is an added advantage.
